Furniture critique & artist statement

Vision
Process
Strengths and weaknesses

As I began to plan for the furniture project, my first thought was to use the resource less people were planning to use which was rope. My first vision was to create a chair using a tire and rope. When I didn't bring the supplies I needed, I changed my idea and used supplies given to me. The vision of this chair was for it to be a small art piece rather than a functioning piece of furniture. I wanted it to be a solid color to keep it simple and more modern looking. It did come out as planned.
The process of making the chair was quick. The first thing I did was cover the inside of the crate with paper. I cut and added the legs to the crate using screws. Afterwards, I added two pieces of the end of a hockey stick for the back rest. The rope was installed last and glued in with hot glue. The final process was to spray paint the entire thing the color muted mint green. It took around 6 classes to finish it.
The strongest part of my furniture project was how much work I got done before the due date. I was able to finish the project more than a week before the due date. Though I did struggle in the beginning to figure out what I wanted to do. I knew what I wanted to incorporate in my project. I struggled with my indecisiveness in what I wanted to create.
